Description
A fruit penetrometer, also known as a fruit hardness meter, is a hand-held instrument that can measure the hardness of most types of fruit, such as apples, pears, strawberries, grapes, large/hard fruits, small/soft fruits.

It is a useful tester for judging the degree of ripeness of fruit. It provides more accurate and better resolution measurements than analogue fruit hardness testers. Units of measurement: kg/lb/newton. The instrument is equipped with an RS232 interface, so that the fruit penetrometer can be connected to a PC with optional accessories for recording measurements.
