Description
With the hand-held samplers, we can sample the full height of the load to determine the grain quality according to standard methods. Structurally, the sampler consists of 2 high-strength anodised aluminium tubes with spirally arranged openings. To facilitate the introduction of the grain sampler into the crop, a metal tip is fitted at the end of the probe. The inner tube of the probe is fitted with a handle which can be rotated to close the holes diagonally. After sampling, the sample can be emptied from the sampler. To facilitate turning of the handle and to reduce damage to the seeds, the holes are closed diagonally. This helical shape also ensures stratified sampling.
