JAPA 395 automatic cutting and slicing machine

The JAPA 395 automatic cutting and splitting machine is an innovative innovation in the production programme of the well-established Finnish company JAPA. The basic design is based on the JAPA 385 platform, but is now more robust and user-friendly.

The machine has been designed to be controlled by one person from a central console with joysticks. A powered in-feed conveyor ensures smooth log transport. Pressure gears ensure ideal stability of the cut piece. Safety covers can now be easily removed and provide perfect access to the chain wheel and the cutting channel area.

The machine is equipped with hydraulic outlets that allow easy connection of the tray table (X-axis drive only). It is also possible to mount the pins required for Y-axis drive. From the central control panel, it is then possible to control the feeding of the logs in both directions in the X- and Y-axis, so that even curved logs can be manipulated. When the length stop is reached, the feeding into the machine is automatically switched off to prevent the belt from wearing out. After cutting, the piece is pushed through the hinged partition into the slitting channel to prevent it from tipping over. The robust splitting chute ensures easy splitting of the log through the splitting grid, which is adjustable in height.
