This unique, professional, gimbal-driven sawing and splitting machine, the Lumag SSA500ZHPRO, combines three machines in one. The machine saws the wood to the desired length and then splits the sawn wood into 2 or 4 pieces (6-piece splitting box available as an option). The machine is equipped with a hydraulic infeed conveyor (wood infeed to the saw) and an outfeed conveyor (after splitting). The sawing and catching of the wood is also hydraulic and automatic. The saw-cutter is equipped with TLT drive.

With this very powerful saw-cutter you can split wood safely, but of course the splitting yield is much higher than if both operations (splitting and sawing) had to be done separately. The saw-cutter is attached to the three-point hydraulics of a tractor (approx. 20 HP) by means of a universal joint (not included).

It can transport logs up to 50 cm in diameter. The log is cut to the required length by the hydraulically driven chainsaw, then the wood is automatically dropped in front of the splitting machine, which splits the wood with a hydraulic splitting force of 15 tonnes (so it's all one operation). The wood is then delivered on a 3.2 m long conveyor belt, which transports it to the location of your choice (either to make a mountain of split wood or to drop the wood directly into a large bag or trailer). The maximum discharge height is 2 m. The conveyor belt is easily adjustable to the height of the winch supplied.

Splitting and sawing can be done simultaneously using two hydraulic pumps. So while the machine is splitting the last sawed log, you can already cut the next log.

The machine can split an average of 5 cubic metres per hour. Of course, factors such as the speed of the feed, the thickness of the log and the type of wood are important. The machine can use a variety of extra available accessories, such as a hydraulic log loading device, a hydraulic log feeding table and a 6-piece splitting table. All machines are equipped with a combination of 2 and 4-piece splitting wedges as standard. You can find the accessories on our website!

The 3 way control valve + Parker pump and hydraulic motor are delivered directly with the machine.
