The NEGRI BIO R240-M professional branch chipper is recommended by the manufacturer for composting plant waste from the maintenance of green areas up to a branch thickness of 9 cm. The purpose of branch chipping is to reduce volume and/or produce wood chips that can be used as mulch or as fuel in a suitable boiler.

Unlike the Negri Bio 240 branch chipper models, the M models have no blades on the rotor and are equipped with 33 special hammers. These branch chippers are more powerful, capable of chopping even branches contaminated with soil, small pebbles or containing nails.

The NEGRI BIO R240-M PRUNER model is available in 9 types, 6 petrol models with electric start, 2 diesel models with electric start and 1 branch chipper that can be operated from the tractor's TLT drive. Within the petrol models, 3 models are equipped with a towable trailer. The trailer can be connected to the towing vehicle's ball coupling by means of an angled coupling head.

A crawler version is now available on the R240 model. The CN tracked (rubber belt) tractor with petrol or diesel engine is suitable for tractor trailers on hilly terrain up to 36%.

The TLT-powered version can be connected transversely to the tractor's 3 points, i.e. the branch breaker's feed funnel is perpendicular to the TLT.

All models are equipped with a hydraulic feed roller with adjustable speed and direction of rotation, which eliminates the need to manually assist the twigs in their progress for efficient and continuous chipping, as the feed roller feeds the wood according to capacity. The 33 specially designed hammers ensure an even chipping.

All models are equipped with an OBS (On Board System - Multifunctional control system) control system, complete with NOSTRESS. The display shows, among other things, the part and total operating hours, the rotor speed, the feeding speed and the NOSTRESS system provides 2 programmable options for feeding thinner and thicker branches. To make the operator's job easier, possible fault codes can also be read from the controller.

The electric self-starting system on petrol and diesel models makes the machine easy to operate and provides a comfortable working environment. Detailed performance data can be found on the branch chipper data sheet.
