This post-emergence granular spreader is an excellent tool for combating monocultures. The predominance of cereal crops in the cultivation structure is one of the causes of soil impoverishment and the simultaneous development of fungal diseases and pests. This is a problem which is becoming very serious, especially on farms where there is no crop rotation, i.e. monoculture. Overseeders fit perfectly into this situation and interrupt the continuous vegetation of the monoculture crop. Another advantage of cover cropping is that it prevents wind and water erosion, which occurs when the soil is left without plant cover.

Sowing should be carried out as soon as possible, immediately after harvesting the cereals or possibly the straw. Seeds of cover crops should be sown by 20 August. This is a very inconvenient date for many farmers, as it often conflicts with the backlog of harvesting work. If it is not possible to sow during this period, winter cover crops can be sown - in which case the latest date for compulsory sowing is 1 October, but the crop must remain in the field until 15 February the following year.
