Description
The Super type ZIBO bush hogger has a high belly height, which results in less crop damage. The self-adjusting spines result in large and stable spines with high volume.

The machine can be used both immediately after sowing with interplates and in full sowing. The machine has a high ground clearance, so it can be used practically all season.

There are many advantages to the ZIBO Super bale crusher:
- Larger rear volume, so fewer green tubers.
- Stronger ridge, so less drying out (better moisture management) and the ridge stays intact all season long.
- Can start earlier and stop later (versatile for different times).
- Can be used shortly before crop closure (the ridge warms up faster, so potatoes grow sooner).
- In heavy rains, the ridge is better preserved.
- In the summer, during hot weather, the temperature in the ridge does not rise as quickly, so the potatoes can be stored more safely.
- Possibility to chemically treat weeds in 1 pass, so significant savings on spraying costs.

Advantages at harvest:
- Less stones to pick up.
- Less damage due to convex back.
- Less damage in the harvester due to better soil quality on strip 1.

Potatoes and other ridge crops are known to be prone to erosion. Water can pool between ridges and then run off at an accelerated rate. This fast-flowing water carries soil particles and pesticides, among other things. The impact of rainfall is particularly high in spring when the land is still uncovered. Soils are then particularly vulnerable to soil erosion. ZIBO ridges with erosion valves counteract this erosion.

The erosion valves of ZIBO ridges are equipped with hydraulically operated valves that scrape the soil between the ridges. This creates a watertight barrier between the ridges. In addition to erosion control, ZIBO ridge formers with erosion valves also have a yield-enhancing effect. The positive effect has been demonstrated in several experiments. Less water washed off when thresholds were installed. Efficiency is highest at the beginning of the season. Measurements show that the soil is wetter when thresholds are installed between ridges. Thresholds improve the infiltration of water into the soil. This results in a better distribution of water in the plot and thus a more uniform growth of the plants.
