WHY IS TYRE PRESSURE REGULATION IMPORTANT?

Tyre pressure control is very important on both road and field. PTG products are not only suitable for tractors, but for all heavy-duty towed and self-propelled machinery. By using these products, we protect the Hungarian soil and tyres, provide better conditions for the crops, and improve operator comfort. We get a larger contact area and more gripping ribs, less wheel slip, lower fuel consumption and better use of our machines.

PRODUCT BRIEF

RDS front tyre pressure control system for New Holland self-propelled scarifiers. A perfect system for comfortable tyre pressure adjustment on the move. The PTG company, in collaboration with New Holland engineers, has adapted and approved the RDS/portal 2 wired technology specifically for New Holland self-propelled scrubber-driven machines. The newly created RDS/portal is the perfect system for convenient air pressure adjustment on self-propelled scrubbers, with air lines routed out through the front bridge all the way to the tyre. There is no need to drain the air pipe outside the wheel.

With the RDS/portal, the rotating units are protected from external influences and are fully integrated into the front bridge of the machine, where they operate maintenance-free. The special lifetime grease filling of the seals means no grease fittings are required, and no annoying, time-consuming maintenance intervals!

Thanks to its innovative technology, the rotating units are always pressureless and are only pressurised for a short period of time when the tyres are pressurised; the RDS/portal seals are generally the same as the machine life.

Thanks to the use of special wheel valves, the RDS/portal system also offers a high level of operational safety. For example, if a line breaks, even when the system is on, there is no loss of air from the tyres (this is not the case with 1-wire systems), as the proven RDS wheel valves automatically close in this case, protecting the tyre from pressure loss.

The use of these valves eliminates the annoying operation of ball valves (known in 1-wire technology) when the valves do not need to be closed at the start of a journey or at night when the machine stops. This technique is a thing of the past!

RDS/portal operation is provided by the self-propelled scrubber's powerful compressor system, which allows the tyres to be inflated in 2-4 minutes (depending on tyre size and pressure range) and deflated in around 2 minutes.

The RDS/portal 2 wired technology can be operated simply and conveniently via the PTG's own digital control unit in the cab.
