Description
The machine allows precise cutting of the stem just before harvesting.
It comes in 3 working widths: 1.2 m, 1.5 m and 1.8 m.
The machine is made up of a frame on which three wheels are mounted and a section consisting of three mower heads, which can be mounted on both the front and rear three-point suspension of the tractor. The cutting height can be hydraulically adjusted from the tractor cab in the range 0-40 cm. Two cutting blades are fitted to each of the three mower heads. Their 45° angle of inclination to the ground and the incorporation of specially profiled covers on the mower unit mean that when the mower heads are set in motion, they generate negative air pressure which lifts the stalks upwards when they are on the ground. This effect results in a very thorough, almost 100% cleaning of the onion.
The machine can also be used for crushing leaves of parsley, carrots or beetroot, or for mowing grass in orchards.
