The ridges designed with this machine are characterised by good soil compaction, good drainage and a good air-water ratio for the potato plants. The MZ series machines are made up of two sections: the first section lifts and loosens the soil between the rows using spring tines, and then the shaping ploughs initially form the ridge. The ploughs are very robust, equipped with a double-sided tedder and adjustable angle shaping plates. The second part is the shaping plates, which straighten and form a properly shaped ridge. The top surface of the ridges has a moulded groove to collect water. The sections of the machine are hinged and connected by means of an adjustable spring, which allows the unevenness of the field to be absorbed. The machines are solid, robust and of simple construction. The MZ2 is a two-section machine, while the MZ4 is a four-section machine.
