The Lumag G8E petrol generator has 2 x 230 Volt (16 A) and 1 x 400 Volt (16 A) connection options. The generator has a power output of up to 8000 watts. The generator can supply 7000 watts continuously (i.e. 230 Volt and 400 Volt together).

Professional quality, high performance Lumag G8E petrol generator/generator set. This professional 8000 watt petrol generator offers excellent performance at both 230 and 400 volts. The continuous output is 7000 watts. The synchronous generator is equipped with 100% copper winding. The engine is equipped with electronic protection. The generator is overload protected and the motor can be started manually or electrically. The machine can also be started remotely. The total power output is 8000 watts (at start-up). The continuous power output is 7000 watts (for continuous use).

- When using only 230 volts (and not 400 volts), it can use up to 3680 watts, continuously it is 3000 watts.
- If you are using only 400 Volts (and not 230 Volts), you can use a maximum of 6400 watts, continuous is 5000 watts.
- If you use 230 Volts and 400 Volts together, you can use a maximum of 3680 watts (3000 watts continuously) on the 2 x 230 Volt sockets and a maximum of 6400 watts (5000 watts continuously) on the 400 Volt socket.

Peak power consumption

Most electrical appliances require slightly more power from the generator when starting up. This is called peak current draw. With a generator, there is a risk that the continuous power and/or even the maximum total power will be exceeded. If the maximum power is exceeded during "start-up", the generator is "too light" to start the appliance. The G8E generator will then automatically shut down to prevent damage to the equipment. The solution to the above problem is to connect the equipment in a different sequence. Always connect the highest power/highest peak current appliance first. If it works properly and well, you can connect the others in power order. It is important never to connect all devices at the same time. For some appliances, the solution described above may not be sufficient.
