Description
The "grand master" of plant residue removal
Cellulose decomposer
MICROBIOLOGICAL PREPARATION
CELL is a microbiological preparation for the degradation of roots and stems. The Cellvibrio ostraviensis strain in CELL is capable of highly efficient degradation of lignocellulose and hemicellulose. Only after their degradation is the otherwise easier task of cellulose breakdown possible. It is currently the only stalk-degrading product on the market that contains two accompanying strains of bacteria in addition to the Cellvibrio ostraviensis strain responsible for stalk degradation. These are Pseudomonas fluorescens and Azotobacter vinelandii.
CELL is used both to improve the soil structure, filtering out the harmful pentosan effect and to convert the 100% organically bound nutrients in the stem and root residues into nutrients that can be taken up by the next plant.
3 strains complement each other to provide a unique biological effect:
Cellvibrio ostraviensis
Vibvibrio vivibrioribrio.Biovibrio vivibrio is a bioactive plant that can break down and degrade the structure of long-chain hemicellulose and lignin in stem residues, even at winter soil temperatures. The resulting glucose is an additional source of nutrients for other beneficial soil microbes, while the habitat of pathogens is significantly reduced.
Azotobacter vinelandii
It binds nitrogen from the air in the soil and produces a growth hormone (auxin), thus promoting plant growth.
Pseudomonas fluorescens
Prevents nitrogen from escaping from applied fertilizer and reduces the infection pressure of pathogens due to its strong biocontrol effect.
The use of CELL containing three strains therefore allows fertiliser savings and makes crop protection more effective even in weather conditions favourable to pathogens.
The main advantages of using CELL are:
Improved soil structure
In contrast to soil inoculation, where the improvement in soil structure is caused by the sugars synthesized by the soil-improving bacteria, in the case of stubble decomposition, it is the increase in organic matter that makes the soil porous. The organic matter produced increases the soil's heat, water, air and buffering capacity.
Digestion of plant residues
In terms of organic matter management, it is essential that the soil is not only supplied with inorganic nutrients. The nutrient content of stubble residues is significant, but in an organic bond that cannot be taken up by plants. CELL, developed for stubble decomposition, makes the organic nutrients available to plants and at the same time increases the activity of soil life. The nitrogen fixing strains in the formulation reduce the harmful pentosan effect and improve the efficiency of stubble decomposition.
Nitrogen fixation - fertiliser savings
Provides the nitrogen needed for pulp decomposition from the atmosphere to avoid the harmful pentosan effect.
Biocontrol effect - healthier plant population
Inhibits the growth of polyphagous pathogens (e.g. Fusarium). Using controlled stubble decomposition significantly reduces the habitat for pathogens in the soil. The intensive production of siderophore by Pseudomonas fluorescens in CELL indirectly inhibits the growth of certain pathogens.
Fuel savings
When CELL is used on a continuous basis, the machine consumes up to 20-30% less fuel during cultivation. Because of the looser soil structure, and especially because crop residues such as corn stalks do not impede the movement of the implement in the soil.
Use of CELL:
To treat stubble, leaf and stem residues, to accelerate the breakdown of their cellulose content and to stimulate soil microbial life. 1-1.5 l/ha by field sprayer at 150-250 l water volume or by special application equipment (T-Jet) at 30-100 l water volume, applied to stubble residues and worked into the soil. Its effectiveness can be increased by the addition of a wetting agent. CELL can be applied in one pass with tillage above freezing point.
