Description
Leaf fertiliser is suitable for the prevention and treatment of copper deficiency in all arable, horticultural and forestry crops. Its efficiency is increased by the high nitrogen content. Nitrogen is a direct regulator of shoot and crop volume. It is a building block of proteins and a constituent of green pigment bodies. In its absence, a light yellowish-green discoloration is visible. As a constituent of enzymes, copper is involved in electron transport and respiratory metabolism, and plays an important role in protein synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism. Copper deficiency causes slow plant growth, leaves turn greyish green and chlorotic. Symptoms of deficiency always appear in young plants. Cu deficiency in cereals starts with the bleaching of leaves.
