DAMISOL GOLD FRIGOMAX is uniquely effective in preventing and reducing the effects of spring frosts in fruit crops, applied at least 24-48 hours before frost.
For an even safer effect, also apply FRIGOMAX as a preventive-preparatory treatment as soon as the plant starts to moisten. In case of prolonged, recurrent frosts, the treatment should be repeated every 5-10 days. It is effective in protecting flowers and reducing damage up to -4℃ in stone fruit and -5℃ in apple fruit. In stone fruit crops, it is also absorbed through the ligule of the annual canes and is well transported to the inflorescence.
In combination with frost protection, it increases inflorescence fertilisation vigour, prolongs the duration of fertilisation and increases the number of fruits produced.
In stone fruit and apple crops, it can also be used to prevent fruit drop due to cool weather prior to seed set. Apply at 4-5 l/ha/acre to 400-600 l/ha of water. The first pre-emergence spray should be more of a wash, and the spray immediately before frost 24-48 hours before frost should be applied at normal rates and droplet sizes, aiming for the best possible coverage. For small-scale applications, add 40-50 ml to 10 litres of water. Can also be used in organic farming.
