The nitrogen in Pétiso contains an equal proportion of slow-acting ammonium nitrogen and fast-acting nitrate nitrogen.

The dolomite content, present in addition to nitrogen, reduces soil acidity and is therefore particularly recommended for acid soils.

The calcium (and magnesium) improves the structure of the soil, makes it friable through its clay-humic complexes (water, heat and air retention are increased due to porosity) and increases its productivity. By improving the ionic balance, it increases the uptake and utilisation of other nutrients.

Nitrogen fertilisation in divided doses according to the rate of plant development not only increases the quantity and quality of the crop, but also improves nitrogen utilisation.
