- High nutritional value, good digestibility and palatability
- Yields 8-12 t/ha dry matter per year
For grazing purposes, it is recommended to mix with chicory or fodder plantain seeds!
Delivered in 15 kg bags.
Recommended seed dose: 25-30 kg/ha.
A drought tolerant grass mixture suitable for grazing, making hay and haylage, suitable for AKG green fodder.
Cultivation technology:
- Sowing time: March-April or August-September.
- Seed rate: 25-30 kg/ha.
- Seedbed preparation: seedbed with a notched, settled seedbed, in which no tractor wheel or shoe heels leave any traces.
- Sowing method: sowing depth: 1 cm. With new seed drills, be careful with the depth, as the high self-weight may cause the seed to be deeper than desired. If you have a disc coulter in front of the drill, be sure to lift it before sowing.
- Seed drilling: the newer seed drills have compaction rollers, so there is no need to roll after sowing. Rolling is prohibited in soils prone to potting! If rolling is necessary, it should always be carried out with the drill nailed to the seed and a ribbed roller should be used instead of a smooth roller.
- Nutrient supply: 50-70 kg of active nitrogen. Do not exceed the recommended upper limit, as this may lead to the loss of white testicles. In the year of planting, organic fertiliser will be appreciated.
- Harvest: first mowing in May. The frequency of subsequent mowing depends on rainfall. It is recommended to carry out one clean-up mowing per year.
Subsidies, compliance with regulations:
For your farm, be sure to check with your village administrator about compliance with the ACG requirements you have undertaken, as well as other forms of subsidies.
The conditions for AKG green fodder have not changed, the Dry Six mixture meets these conditions (minimum 3 components, of which at least one is butterfly, the other components can be grass), in which case of course only the area sown with Dry Six can be used as a mowing area and the first mowing must wait for the date laid down in the Regulation.
