Characteristics:
Garden pearlwort, also known as garden bayberry, is a deciduous shrub usually planted as a hedge or as a specimen, growing up to 2.5 metres in height. It has a complimentary branch system that can be shaped by shearing, but it can also be grown as an informal hedge without pruning. It produces white flowers in the spring, which decorate the hedge with a showy cascade of waterfall-like flowers.
It is very easy to care for as it is a very hardy plant. It prefers bright or hot sunny places and is drought tolerant.
