Description
Giulia coated alfalfa is grafted with Rhizobium, which ensures faster, safer germination in less favourable conditions, a more uniform start and faster growing stock. The new technology reduces the seed standard, offers lower per hectare costs and is ideal for over-seeding.

Giulia is a drought tolerant variety that is well suited to extensive growing conditions, with high yields and optimum leaf to stem ratios. It is excellent for forage, green fodder and silage.

In addition to the numerous advantages of metal-locked seeds, the conditions for participation in the AKG, AÖP and ÖKO programmes and for the production-linked fibre-protein aid can only be met by using certified seeds. Grafted, coated (not stripped) seeds are allowed in organic production.
