++. Very prolific. Fruit large to very large, average berry weight 7,8 g. Pleasant, sweet taste. It has hard flesh.
A medium-growing, semi-erect, creeping, thornless blackberry variety. Its overhanging canes are not sensitive to frost. Leaves are spoon-shaped, double serrated, medium green. Disease tolerant. Early maturing, two to three weeks ahead of Thornfree in ripening. Matures until mid-September. Very prolific. Fruits are large to very large. Pleasant, sweet flavour. Hard flesh.
The fruit is suitable for fresh consumption, freezing and canning. Fruit that is not fully ripe may turn red when frozen. It is recommended for both commercial and retail cultivation.
Complex origin. Derived from crosses between tetraploid North American varieties and SCRI's own breeding lines. Its exact origin has not been disclosed by the breeder.
