Key features of PK-006:
- early sowing is well tolerated, with sowing starting from the flowering of the pear blossom, according to popular observations
- recommended sowing rate: 45-60 thousand plants/ha
- It is characterised by rapid development after emergence
- develops a strong root system, with several levels of supporting roots
- good stem strength
- medium height, reaching 2,5 m in average weather conditions
- at 45-50 thousand plants it is usually double-tubed
- good drought tolerance
- average height of tubes is 130-150 cm, depending on growing conditions
- maize maturity: FAO 280-300
- ripening on green stalk
- good drainage
- characterised by unfurled ears at maturity
- number of grains per ear: 12-16
- number of grains per row: 30-50
- weight per hectolitre: 77 kg
- thousand kernel weight: 440 g (depending on vintage)
- yields may reach or exceed 10 t/ha under particularly good soil and nutrient conditions and average rainfall
- early maturity makes it a good pre-crop for early cereals

Variety selected from organic maize PK-001. The main criterion for selection was earliness.

PK-006 flowers about 15 days earlier than PK-001.
The PK-006 crop is suitable for further cultivation every year.
