Description
The latest mid-late maturing, top yielding Express®-tolerant hybrid in the Syngenta portfolio. It has achieved outstanding yields, not only in our country but also in South-Eastern European countries. In 2020, it was the top performer in its group in NEBIH trials (4.29 t/ha), while it also ranked first in yield and oil content in an average of 41 domestic development trials. Sureli HTS opens a new yield level in sunflower production.

It is a high grower, so it is not recommended to deviate from the recommended number of plants. Its height is greatly influenced by the effect of the weather, as it was more than 20 cm taller in 2020 (rainy summer) (184 cm) than in the dry, warm year 2021 (160 cm). Sureli HTS has a strong root system, which gives it outstanding stem strength, weather stability and self-sufficiency. Its disease tolerance is above average, making it easy to protect against pathogens.

Its general disease resistance and resistance to radish (up to race A-F) make it competitive in all areas suitable for sunflowers. It is resistant to all peronospora races found in Hungary so far.

The occasional extreme weather conditions in certain seasons can have a major impact on the performance of sunflower hybrids and the development of various diseases (e.g. Sclerotinia, Macrophomina, Bract necrosis), Phyllodia, branching, etc. The susceptibility of our hybrids to different climatic factors and diseases may vary, information on this is provided in the hybrid descriptions. Syngenta does not accept any liability for yield loss due to adverse growing conditions. Syngenta does not generally guarantee that a product will produce a particular yield at a particular location, as yields are influenced by a number of conditions (e.g. growing technology, weather conditions, site conditions, etc.) and can vary significantly between yields from the same seed lot.
