Description
Latin name: Medicago sativa L.

Description of species. Leaves medium green, elongated, slightly jagged. Flower: flowers of mixed shades of blue and purple predominate, but white and greyish flowers are also found. Spikelets are 3-4 whorled, with 8-10 seeds.

Weight per thousand: 2,1-2,3 g

Growth: has an upright or partially upright shoot system and is a medium-tall variety.

Maturation: tends to ripen early in spring, with a rapid rate of recovery.

Resistance: highly resistant to cold, drought and disease.

Sowing: September to October or March to April, depending on the weather.

Recommended sowing rate: 25 kg/ha

Use: as green fodder, silage or in combination with grasses.

Characteristics: excellent vegetative development with very good yields and high protein content, good persistence.

Economic value: good stem vigour, long life (up to 7 years!).

Recommended cultivation: the variety can be grown in all areas of the country and intensive growing conditions guarantee high yields.
