Shrubs vigorously growing, moderately prickly, with strong spines. Its spikes may freeze in colder winters. The canes are creeping and therefore require a support system to grow. It matures in mid-early. Fruit very large, elongated cone-shaped, attractive. Dark purple in colour when ripe. The flavour is acidic and characterless. The flesh is firm, easy to transport and store. The vacocone is less prone to cracking. Harvesting is made difficult by its spiny appearance.

The fruit is suitable for fresh consumption, for deep processing and for canning. It is recommended for home gardening.
