Description
Active substance
2,4-D 300 g/l + florasulam 6,25 g/l
Cultura
winter wheat, winter barley, rye, triticale, maize (grain, silage)
Mechanism of action:
The active ingredient florasulam belongs to the triazolepyrimidine sulphonanilide group of herbicides within the HRAC 2 (HRAC 'B') group of herbicides, which inhibits acetolactate synthetase function, protein synthesis and is taken up by the weed through the leaves and roots. While 2,4-D-ester is classified in the HRAC 4 (HRAC 'O') group of herbicides in the endocrine group of aryloxyalkanecarboxylic acids, it can be taken up by any part of the plant, i.e. it is a systemic, absorbable active substance. It is most active as a foliar herbicide, but also has a persistence through the soil (10-14 days).
Proposed crop protection technology
The product can only be applied once per growing season in spring.
In winter wheat, winter barley, rye and triticale, the product can be applied postemergence in spring from the beginning of tillering to the end of tillering at a rate of 0,6 l/ha. Tadstools are most sensitive to the product when they are 4-6 leafed, sticky knapweed when 3-4 leafed and other seed-bearing biennial weeds when 2-4 leafed.
The use of the preparation in durum wheat and spelt is not authorised!
In maize (grain, silage) the crop should be sprayed at 3-5 leaf stage and the weeds at 2-4 true leaf stage.
The preparation is highly effective against the following weeds:
- dandelion (Tripleurospermum perforatum)
- Trifolium perforatum (Trifolium trifolium)
- poppy (Papaver rhoeas)
- sunflower drench (Helianthus annuus)
- Parlagi pipit (Anthemis arvensis)
- henbane (Stellaria media)
- shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris)
- blue cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
- field spurge (Consolida regalis)
- wild rape (Sinapis arvensis)
- white goosefoot (Chenopodium album)
- hairy pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus)
- ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia)
Moderately sensitive weed species:
- field acat (Cirsium arvense).
Specifications for use of the plant protection product:
The product should not be applied after night frosts or when night frosts are expected due to the risk of crop damage. Treatment should be carried out at temperatures between 12 and 25 °C.
Do not apply the product to weakened crops exposed to stress (frost, drought, inland water, disease, pests) because of the risk of crop damage.
Special care must be taken during application to avoid overlapping!
Special care should be taken to prevent drift of the product onto neighbouring crops!
In normal crop rotation, there is no risk of post-harvest crop damage. In case of crop die-back, only spring wheat, spring barley, oats and maize may be sown after treatment and after tillage.
In order to protect human health, mechanical application is only allowed with drift control technology!
