Description
We are looking for an animal caretaker for sheep and goulash work (in addition to sheep, beef cattle and gray cattle) for the animal husbandry of a family farm in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county. Duties: • Guards the livestock farm assigned to him as a place of work, prevents unauthorized persons from entering the farm area. Participates in plant maintenance in accordance with the employer's instructions. • Provides adequate quantity and quality of feed and water for the animals. This includes preparing the animals' feed and water and reporting any changes in the animals' eating or drinking habits. During the non-grazing period, he waters and feeds the animals, during the grazing period he regulates the grazing of sheep and gray cattle, and he waters the beef cattle in the pasture. • Performs animal care and administrative duties related to animal reproduction, with special attention to the following: In the case of cattle, controls and administers calvings and marks calves. In the case of sheep, he takes care of the scheduled lambing twice a year (putting the rams on and off the flock at a specific time), coordinates the calvings, separates the mothers and the lambs after calving, and marks the lambs. • Provides information to the manager, staff and the farm veterinarian to improve the health and welfare of the animals, as well as the risks affecting the health and welfare of the animals. Expectations: • Commitment to animal husbandry. Animal husbandry practice is not a requirement, but interest, desire to learn and love of animals are prerequisites. • Ability to work independently. • In the case of sheep, the owners aimed to become a stock breed.
