✅ A common problem in the livestock sector is the large number of outdated facilities, old technology and high production costs. These problems are addressed by the Livestock Farm Improvement Programme, which focuses on improving competitiveness, disseminating innovative, environmentally friendly technologies, strengthening young farmers' holdings and increasing employment. The Rural Development Programme also offers the possibility of setting up new livestock farms.

✅ Who can apply?
Farmers who:
➖ Have a holding of at least 10,000 livestock units in the full financial year preceding the submission of the aid application.
➖ At least 40% of their turnover in the year preceding the year for which the aid application is submitted was derived from agricultural production.

Applications may also be submitted by a family agricultural partnership and by collective investment. A collective project is defined as a project carried out by a producer group, a producer organisation, a cooperative with farmer members or a social cooperative.
➖ At least 40% of the members' total turnover must come from agricultural activities.
➖ At least 50% of the members must have a minimum of 10,000 LU.

✅ Nature and amount of the aid
The total amount of the aid for the renewal of livestock holdings is HUF 50 billion. The amount of non-repayable aid that can be requested is up to HUF 200 million. Aid intensity: 50-80%. An advance payment of up to 25% of the aid amount, up to HUF 50 million, may be requested. Up to 800 to 1000 livestock holdings may receive aid.

The total budget of the Livestock Farming Development Grant scheme is HUF 150 billion. The amount of non-repayable aid that can be claimed is HUF 200 million - HUF 5 billion. Aid intensity: 50-80%. An advance payment of up to 25% of the aid amount, up to a maximum of HUF 500 million, may be requested. Up to 250-300 livestock holdings may receive aid.
