✅ The primary objective of the call for proposals for support for the planting of horticultural plantations and the cultivation of medicinal plants is to support the planting of plantations with high productivity and crop security, which are adaptable to changing climatic conditions.

✅ Applications must be submitted by farmers in Hungary who, in the last full financial year preceding the year in which the aid application is submitted (or, if no such data are available, the previous financial year)
➖ have a holding size of at least EUR 10 000 LU
➖ at least 40 % of their turnover comes from agricultural activity

In the case of enterprises engaged in the activity of integrator or processor of herbal medicinal products, the criterion is that the turnover from the activity of production of herbal medicinal products exceeds 40% of the total turnover in the complete and closed business year concerned, or that they carry out their activity with the assistance of at least 3 partners certified by production and/or purchase contracts.

✅ Rate of aid
✔️ The maximum amount of aid that may be requested is HUF 500 million in the form of a non-repayable grant. The aid intensity is 50-70%. An advance of 25%, up to HUF 100 million, may also be requested.

✅ Eligible activities
➖ Planting of new plantations of fruit, medicinal, aromatic and aromatic herbs, wine grapes and hops
➖ modernisation of existing plantations
➖ purchase of equipment and machinery for cultivation
➖ protection against adverse climatic events
➖ replenishing plantations, developing water-saving irrigation technologies, optimising water use in irrigation systems, installing new irrigation water systems
