Description
It is used to separate the cosmola oil that appears in the first stage of brandy distillation.
It is particularly important in the brewing of waxy fruit brandies: pear, apple, quince...
I recommend a demister for proper operation, ice cubes for cooling.
The cosmage oil floats on top of the cooled cider, and since here the spout picks up the finished cider from the bottom, the oily part at the top does not get into the cider.
It can be used to raise the brandy to below 50 degrees without opalescence.
Available in 2 and 3 compartments.
The 3 compartment is a bit more efficient, because it is used to double boil the spirit.
