Red copper Pistachio plate
Practically a water-cooled deflegmator.
It raises the alcoholic strength of the spirit and helps the aromas to develop.
Inside is a baffle plate that forces the rising brandy vapour towards the mantle and causes it to circulate.
This separates the excess phlegm and allows a cleaner spirit to pass into the still.
It can be used with any still.
By connecting several of these plates together, properly cooled, you can make a single-stage still.
