Description
It is based on the scientific concept of "priming defence", the ability of plants to amplify defence signals, once pre-activated by an elicitor, to build up acquired systemic resistance more rapidly and more vigorously in all plant cells.
Mode of action: elicitors are recognised by specific proteins present in the cell membrane, activating innate immunity. Inducers activate specific enzymes in the salicylic acid pathway and are responsible for triggering local defence systems to spread to all plant cells.
Once taken up by the leaves or roots, the active substance is transported through the vascular system of the plant to all cells, enhancing the development of systemic acquired resistance by increasing the expression of PR defence genes, amplifying the response to the pathogen.
