Description
Tobacco is a potassium-demanding crop, and potassium improves the quality and combustibility of tobacco leaves. It has a low phosphorus requirement and an adequate supply of nitrogen has a positive effect on growth and development, but overdosing causes the greatest deterioration in leaf quality. Nutrient requirements vary from one tobacco variety to another, and the cultivation and the way the seedlings are grown also influence the nutrient supply.
