Productivity:
Produces mid to late, but after that it produces regularly and abundantly. Good yielding variety, moderately susceptible to alternation. Self-fertile diploid, best pollen donors: Clapp's favourite, William.
Maturation period:
Harvested in mid-September for long-term storage. Very sensitive to harvest time. If harvested too early, it will not ripen.
Fruit characteristics:
Fruit is large. It is large, weighing between 180 and 280 g, slightly elongated, pear-shaped, tapering towards the stalk. Cinnamon-brown in colour when ripe, covered with a rusty glaze over the entire surface. The skin is medium thick and dry to the touch. The flesh is whitish yellow, with a slight tendency to stoniness.
Wood characteristics:
Medium to low growth vigour. Very rare, growing a cone-shaped crown. Requires regular pruning.
