Description
Adorna alfalfa seed in rhizobium and mycorrhizal grafted varieties. Seed without strips.
Supplied in 25 kg bags.
Recommended seed dose: 25 kg/ha.
Alfalfa has traditionally been a mainstay of the perennial forage crop group. We are also happy to recommend it for soils with good soil conditions: our Adorna variety has performed well for many years. We market a variety grafted with rhizobium and mycorrhizae.
The Adorna variety is most sought after by farmers for its rapid reseeding and large, tender leaf mass.
It is suitable for the production of hay, haylage, lucerne meal and pellets.
- It germinates quickly after mowing
- Early growth in spring
- Good leaf/stem ratio
- High yield potential
- Good drought tolerance due to its well developed root system
A good choice both on its own and in a mixture, the latter also improving yields and usability.
Adorna alfalfa seed in rhizobium and mycorrhizal grafted varieties.
The coating helps the development of mycorrhizal-root contact and nitrogen-fixing nodules, resulting in more secure germination, faster development, better stress tolerance, higher yields and improved yield.
The treated version is packaged with 66% seed and 34% rhizobium and a coating containing mycorrhizal fungi. Therefore, a minimum of 23 kg of seed is required to achieve the 15 kg seed dose specified in some aids.
Cultivation technology:
- Sowing period: February to April or September.
- Seed rate: 25 kg/ha.
- Nutrient supply: P2O5: 100 kg, K2O: 80 kg.
- Harvest: from budding to flowering.
- Extra tip: if the form of support allows, it is advisable to sow oats or oat-pea or autumn mixture with top-sowing, using only half the rate, because in this way, the first mowing, with the slow-starting alfalfa, is not weeds but valuable fodder. In this case, the oats or oat mixture should be sown first to a depth of 6 cm, followed by the alfalfa to a depth of 1 cm between 2 rollers.

For your farm, be sure to check with your village farmer about compliance with the AKG standards you have undertaken, as well as the use of other forms of aid.
Please check with your local authorities to ensure that you meet the requirements of the ACG.
Fibrous protein meets the standards if it reaches a net seeding rate of 15 kg, which is achieved at a minimum seeding rate of 23 kg/ha for rhizobium-coated Adorna seed.
Our popular product, "ADORNA COATED LUCERNA", therefore meets the requirements of both "AKG Fibrous Butterfly", "Fibrous Protein" and "Nitrogen Fixing".
AKG Fibrous Butterfly requires a minimum of 25% perennial fibrous butterfly seed to germination ratio. ADORNA TREADY LUCERNA contains 100% perennial butterfly seed.
ADORNA HARVESTED LUCERNA also meets the production-linked "fibrous protein" requirement, as it contains more than 50% butterflies by weight - exactly 100%.
ADORNA TREATED LUCERNA also meets the "Nitrogen fixation" requirement of the Greening Regulation, as it contains at least 50% butterfly seed in germination.
