Description
Developed through years of experimentation, our new special mulch mix is made up of the most suitable undergrowth and butterflies for the purpose. It is mainly recommended for covering the crowns of vineyards and orchards. The multiannual mix (3-5 years) has excellent mulch, good weed suppression, trampling resistance and erosion control once full cover is achieved. Butterflies fix atmospheric nitrogen. The resulting grass strip reduces dust formation and has a positive effect on the summer microclimate. It has a positive effect on soil water balance and reduces cultivation costs. The established vegetation can be tended by 2-3 mowings during the growing season (end of May - beginning of June or before harvest).
